Mark your calendars to join us for a festival at Sunset Hill Farm County Park to celebrate our rich 80 year history! The event will include a game between the Deep River Grinders and Sunset Hill Colonels at noon, the Mega 360 Obstacle Course by Bounce N Around, Laser Ball NWI, face painting, wagon rides, games, crafts and more. With food by Birky Farms and a beer garden featuring Triton Brewing. You don’t want to miss it!

Camp FUNset Registration is still open!

Join us for the final four, fun-filled, week-long, sessions of Camp FUNset! Our next camp is Aspiring Artists, running July 28-31st! Campers will get to try their hand at a variety of craft and art projects all different from our first art camp of the summer! Walk Dawn of the Dunes-Half Marathon Training Program

Do you want to do something amazing? This 12 week program will guide, coach, and encourage you – helping to fulfill your goal of completing a half marathon – Dawn of the Dunes in Gary, IN on Sunday, October 26th.

You must be able to walk 3 miles in 45 minutes. Includes race registration and t-shirt, weekly training schedule, check-ins, workout tips and motivational emails. Open to men and women 18 years or older.

Meet the Animals

Family Hikes

Each month you can come out and enjoy Sunset Hill Farm with the park naturalist. A new month will always bring a new topic for exploring and discussing from geology to history and beyond. There is always more to explore at Sunset Hill!

Dream Catchers
Sunday, July 27th, 9-10am, Sunset Hill Farm, $15

Join our instructor at sunset Hill to make your own dream catcher. You will be provided feathers, beads, etc. that you will incorporate into your dream catcher. The meaning behind dream catchers will also be discussed.

Restorative Retreat
Sunday, July 27th, 10am-4pm, Brincka Cross Gardens, $55

Join our instructor for a day long restorative retreat that will focus on both the mind and body through yoga and meditation. The day will include a light, healthy lunch.

Gardenside Chat

Meet the Park Horticulturist at Sunset Hill to help plant, weed and maintain the garden and ask your own gardening questions.

Year Round Run Club

Join the Sunset Hill Run Club for a run to discover the beauty of Sunset Hill. The length of the run varies but will traverse grass, hills and woodland trails.

Weekly Open Studio with Acrylics
Thursdays, 6-8 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., Sunset Hill Farm, $5

Beginners will learn basic painting techniques from an experienced acrylic painter. Seasoned artists are also welcome to come and bring their own ideas for projects. No personal supplies needed.
