United Way of Porter County Announces 2018 Campaign Chair Duo, Randy and Jo Ellen Zromkoski

The United Way of Porter County has named Randy and Jo Ellen Zromkoski as this year’s United Way Campaign Chairs.

Annually United Way selects individuals who are passionate about United Way’s mission and the community to lead their workplace campaign efforts. The campaign chairs serve as the face of United Way and lead a volunteer team to coordinate giving activities and to share United Way’s impact story.

“We are thrilled that Randy and Jo Ellen will be guiding our team this year,” said Kim Olesker, president & CEO of United Way of Porter County. “Their passion for Porter County and longtime support of United Way embodies our efforts to build a stronger community through generosity and commitment.”

Randy is the Managing Member of the law firm Blachly, Tabor, Bozik & Hartman and Jo Ellen is recently retired from the Valparaiso University honors college, Christ College. Both are native to Northwest Indiana and have two, married boys and one granddaughter.

For more than 25 years the Zromkoskis have been significantly involved in the community, supporting a variety of organizations and events. They especially have a passion for mental health services, such as Mental Health America of Porter County and Porter-Starke Services.

“Jo Ellen and I are excited to be working with United Way to bring to light the needs of the county,” said Randy Zromkoski, managing member at Blachly, Tabor, Bozik & Hartman. “United Way is an integral part of the community and we want to make sure this safety net organization is here for many years to come.”

Randy currently serves on the United Way of Porter County Board of Directors and is the Past Chair of the Greater Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

In 2017, United Way of Porter County provided more than $2.3 million in resources to the community and connected more than 8,000 volunteers through community programs, such as United Way Regional Volunteer Center, United Way Day of Caring and AmeriCorps service program.
