bgcpoco-Summer-KidsCampRegister Today for Fun, Safe Summer Programming

When school is out, our Clubs are in! This includes summertime through Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County’s KidsCamp. KidsCamp provides a safe, fun place for members during summer vacation. Offering a variety of activities that cater to the Clubs’ five core program areas including Character & Leadership Development; Education & Career Development; Health & Life Skills; the Arts; and Sports, Fitness, and Recreation, KidsCamp is a fun and affordable summer option for youth ages four to 12.

This summer, youth participating in KidsCamp will enjoy outside playground visits, weekly field trips, new skills classes like cooking, creation camps, and library trips. Weekly field trips will include fun-filled visits to places like the Brauer Museum of Art, Zao Island, National Lake Shore – and more!

KidsCamp begins June 2, 2016 at the Duneland, Portage, and South Haven Clubs and June 8, 2016 at the Valparaiso Club and runs through August. KidsCamp hours are from 6:30 am until 6:30 pm Monday through Friday. Registration is now open for any child ages 4 to 12. Registration fee is $10 and children must have a current membership with Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County. Annual membership is $35 per child. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.

In addition, Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County’s Club sites are open daily for regular membership from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm, and the Duneland Club from 1:30 to 5:30 pm. The Valparaiso Club offers a variety of specialty camps throughout the summer including photography, golf, karate, fishing, and stop motion animation camps.

KidsCamp and regular Club summer programming are beneficial for all participants because Clubs provide a vacation full of fun and friends, while meeting childcare needs. KidsCamp and Club activities are provided by trained and certified First Aid and CPR youth development professionals.
