Join the Portage Community Historical Society on Sunday, April 12, 2015 from 1 - 4 pm at Countryside Park (5250 US Hwy 6, Portage) for the 2015 Season Opening of our Alton Goin Museum!
We will have a small display on Belle Gunness and we are pleased to announce that Stephen Ruminski, from LaPorte, who made a documentary about Belle Gunness, will be using our Trager Farmhouse to produce a short film about Belle Gunness and her daughter, Jenny Olsen.
A new display just arrived and was donated by Kathy Kleban, granddaughter of Verna Lute Schroeder and is a 12 place setting of her grandmother's china. The museum will be open every Saturday and Sunday after April 12 and Fridays by appointment.
