Hospital employees, including Barbara Anderson, hospital president and CEO; have been among those contributing to its construction, along with Habitat and Tonn and Blank Construction workers. Swisher also will be involved in the work and will make a small downpayment and low monthly mortgage payment. Colleagues congratulated her heartily during the announcement made in the cafeteria.

Swisher, who currently resides in Crown Point, was overwhelmed and ecstatic with the news. The project is being done in cooperation with the local Habitat chapter. Franciscan Health purchased the home site and Tonn and Blank is supplying the materials, free of charge.
