Kyle Elementary Dr. Seuss
Miss Bearss kdg. class celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday by reading "Cat and the Hat" and writing words in the "at" family.

Kyle Elementary ISTEP
Kyle students and staff had a pep rally to wish 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders good luck on their ISTEP this week!

Myers Elementary 3D Tour
4th grade students at Myers Elementary School recently took a 3D tour through a graphic art examples in the app Expeditions using VR Goggles. This app enabled students to view how artists go through their process to provide graphics for movies, games and other digital media. It show them in a virtual reality experience the history of graphics from the early days of Atrari to creating a tyrannosaurus rex for the movie Jurassic Park!

Students then created their own graphics on the iPad using the app Animation and Drawing by Do Ink, which is an animation app that takes their graphics and puts them in motion.

Myers Elementary 5th Grade
5th grade students at Myers Elementary school in Portage enjoy a lesson to learn to weave baskets! After creating a basket skeleton, students easily accomplished the skill of weaving a simple pattern using round reed. They also viewed a short video about the Navajo Nation Museum and the tradition of basket weaving and how it has been carried on in Quiroz their culture to the present day.

Saylor Elementary
Mrs. Sopko's 4th grade class made Perimeter Robots. Students were given specific measurements for the robot's body. They created their own designs to make their robot's unique. The end results were very creative!

PHS Government Class
On Thursday 2/22 Mrs. Trzeciak's government classes proposed their own ideas for a 28th amendment. She selected 10 proposed amendments from her three classes and created a poll for her government classes to vote for the amendment that they liked best.

First place: Any and every U.S. citizen has the right to a free college education after the completion of a traditional academic education. (Emily Schultz)

Second place: Equal wages among men and women of the same stature will be guaranteed. (Taylor Brosky & Caitlyn Bell)

Third place: Minimum wage is $9.25 nationwide. All states have the option to raise this standard. (Tyler Blakely, Ted Koutsogeorgopoulos, and Chloe Hill)
