Mrs. Henderson's 2nd grade class was engaged in learning all about pumpkin math. They measured, counted, and did different math learning activities.
Myers Elementary School
Myers Second Graders celebrated fall with our pumpkin math activities. The children predicted the weight, height, circumference and how many seeds in each pumpkin. The groups then had to prove each prediction and share their information. What a fun way to learn!
PHS MCJROTC
Portage High School MCJROTC hosted it's first drill meet in over a decade on 28 October 2017. The event was a trial run "Super Squad" competition that encompassed physical fitness, marksmanship & close order drill. The event was modeled on an annual event hosted in the Marine Corps & is unique to the area. Cadets from Michigan City participated in the event which will expand to include 4 schools next year. Thanks to all who came out to support Portage!
