Myers Students Go Global
Kindergarten students at Myers Elementary School imagined living in a snow globe world. Using their 5 senses they wrote what would they see, hear, feel and smell if they lived in a snow globe. Photos were taken as they acted out what they would DO in the snow. They painted snow with a mixture of white glue and shaving cream.
Kyle 3rd Graders Get Into the Entrepreneurial Spirit
3rd grade students ran a Mini-Mall. This event gives students an opportunity to operate their own businesses and deal with economic situations.
PHS English Studets Share Their "Dreams"
Mrs. Thibideau's English 12 class created poetry using the black-out poetry strategy. The students read Dr. Martin Luther King's "I Have Dream Speech" as the basis for their poems.
Saylor Students Celebrate MLK Day
Mrs. Campbell's 4th grade class celebrated Dr. King's birthday by sharing their own dreams. The class watched a video about Dr. King and then had a discussion about things they would like to change. Students captioned their "dream" on these thought bubbles to share them with others.
