Aylesworth Elementary
Aylesworth Elementary's very own Vanessa Lynch recently sponsored a fun fair at Aylesworth. Vanessa is passionate about helping and decided to donate the proceeds to the Back Pack Food Program. This program helps to feed Portage kids and surrounding communities over the weekend. Portage has been participating in this program for a few years now. The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana has been a great partnership in supplying the bags for our students. Aylesworth hosts an annual Rock Paper Scissors tournament every May. Last years champion was Victor Martinez. Collectively we raised $345.21! The cost to provide food for a year to one child is $200. We decided to donate all of our proceeds to the Back Pack Food Program and Vanessa Lynch. We are so proud of our Aylesworth kids and their efforts in trying to make a difference in our community!
