PHS Students Compete to Quality for 2015 BPA State Competition

This past Saturday, December 5th. Business Professionals of America hosted their annual district competition. Over eight schools and 100 student’s participated in over 100 different business related competitions.

These 17 students finished in the top six of their respective competitions to qualify for state competition which will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana in March 2016.

Business Professional of America is the number one co-curricular activity in the United States. What students learn in business class is then applied in a competition with other schools.

Portage has had the pleasure of hosting this competition for the last three years thanks to Sponsor and Business Teacher Lisa Melendez holding the title of District Coordinator.
