IU Northwest Announces Homecoming 2015 Activities

rot1The Indiana University Northwest Alumni Association (IUNAA) and the Offices of Alumni Relations and Student Activities are proud to announce the campus’s Homecoming celebration on Saturday, Nov. 7.

Now in its seventh year, Homecoming is a tradition that welcomes alumni home to reconnect with professors, classmates and colleagues. The events are also open to current students, providing them with an opportunity to become engaged in their campus, and for the greater community to join in the excitement that is IU Northwest.

Homecoming Schedule of Events
On Homecoming Day, Saturday, Nov. 7, the festivities kick off with socializing in the alumni lounge located in the Moraine Student Center. Take a tour of campus at noon and see how your campus has grown. There will be a variety of family-friendly activities, including face painting and a half-time parade for kids.

The women’s basketball game begins at 1 p.m. with the RedHawks taking on the IU Kokomo Cougars in the Savannah Center Gymnasium.

Grab some lunch before or at half-time of the men’s basketball game which begins at 3 p.m. The men will also be battling IU Kokomo.

IU alumni are entitled to a 20 percent discount on IU apparel from IU Barnes and Noble, which will be open from noon to 4 p.m. A drawing will also take place at half-time for an IU sweatshirt and canvas bag.

General admission tickets are $20, which includes admission to both games, a long-sleeved 2015 Homecoming T-shirt and food. IU Northwest students with an ID and children age 6 and under are free.

The Savannah Center is located on the northeast corner of campus at 33rd Avenue and Broadway in Gary.
