Good News from Jones Elementary

Jones Elementary is off to a great start in the lunch room. The staff is encouraging positive behavior by rewarding a class in each grade level with the Golden Spatula Trophy.

The trophy is earned by individual students being recognized for their outstanding behavior with a sticker, which is then added to a classroom chart. The class with the most stickers at the end of the week receives the coveted trophy.


Good News from South Haven Elementary

​Two second grade students harvesting from the South Haven Elementary Teaching Garden. Students planted a variety of vegetable plants in May and now are enjoying the product of all their hard work.

Good News from Portage High School
The Senior Portfolio Art Class are working on chalk paintings. They are located by the Indian Head at Portage High School. They are preparing to do larger chalk paintings at the Hooked on Art Festival. This festival is Saturday, Sept 26, 9:00- 3:00, in downtown Chesterton. Both the Portfolio class and Drawing 3 class will be participating in Hooked on Art next month.
