Reading The Dog That Dug for Dinosaurs sparked an interest in learning more about fossils. Crisman 2nd graders did just that when Mrs. Benson visited. Mrs.Benson, from the Porter County Soil & Water Conservation District, even brought an insect that had been trapped in amber to share! Through experiments, students learned how wind and water uncover fossils. They also identified fossils from Indiana by matching the fossils to its description.
