Have you ever thought of what it really takes to be a parent? Have you thought about the financial cost? This week in Mrs. Giba’s Child Development and Parenting class students determined just how much it costs to really raise a child. From hospital bills to childcare to clothing and other basic needs, students learned that it can cost nearly $250,000 to raise a child the first eighteen years (and that does NOT include college!) This proved to be very eye opening for our PHS students.
