Change is an inevitable part of the aging process. Sensory changes can affect individuals at different ages and degrees. Sensory processes include vision, hearing, touch, taste and smell. Alteration of the environment to compensate for age-related sensory loss is often necessary for us to maintain our sense of independent living. This program Making Sense of Memory Loss will take place Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the Porter County Expo Center at 10:00 A.M. It will be presented by Linda Curley, Extension Educator from Lake County.
Beginning at 11:00 A.M., Deb Walsh, District 1 Women’s Leader, Indiana Farm Bureau, will present the program, Repurposing Junk. What can you do with the stuff around the house that is out of date, not usable or left over from something else? And that’s just what we will explore at this lesson- ways to transform, what some might consider trash, into something that is useful and decorative.
