Portage High School will host its annual College Fair on Wednesday, September 17th, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. The event will be held at Portage High School East in the south cafeteria and commons area. In addition to college and university representation, Career/Technical schools and the military will also participate. Approximately 75 reps will be present.
This is an excellent opportunity for middle and high school students to begin the process of communicating directly with college representatives. Students from all area schools are welcome to attend. Parents are encouraged to accompany their children. Adults who are thinking of enrolling in college will also find helpful information.
The College Fair provides students with the opportunity to compare one college with another and to search for colleges with their intended major. Meeting with a college rep at the College Fair might provide additional information that isn’t found on the college website. High school seniors often feel overwhelmed or confused about the college application process. The College Fair provides a setting to ask questions, get answers, and walk away with brochures to peruse at a later time.
