Two outstanding citizenship awards were given to fifth grade students at South Haven Elementary. The awards, sponsored by The Exchange Club, were given to Isabela Velez and Madeline Kujawa. During the presentation both students’ teachers spoke about the attributes that the young ladies have exhibited that made them the best choice for this award. Mr. Lesich, the school principal, also spoke about the positive impact the girls have made on the school.
He shared comments from previous teaches and explained how the students had continually demonstrated good judgment, worked hard at their studies, and showed respect for their teachers, school, and themselves through out their school careers. Both girls shared this moment with family and classmates as they accepted their awards.
