The competition was tough but Levi Perez is the best speller in the South Haven Elementary fifth grade class.
Levi and 69 of his classmates competed earlier this month for the final nine spots. These nine students competed in the Spelling Bee Semi-finals held on Monday morning, March 31st.
First runner up in the contest was Madeline Kujuwa. Later this month, Levi will represent South Haven in the district Spelling Bee. If for some reason Mr. Perez cannot participate, Miss Kujuwa will take his place in the contest.
