Erik Mikaitis, MD, has accepted the position of vice president of medical affairs for Franciscan Health Crown Point, effective April 16. Dr. Mikaitis started his career with Franciscan Health as a hospitalist in 2012. He currently serves as Regional Palliative Care medical director and Franciscan Health Accountable Care Organization medical director for the Northern and South Suburban Chicago divisions, as well as interim ACO administrative director. Hospital president and chief executive officer Daniel McCormick, MD, welcomed Dr. Mikaitis to the position.
