Industrial Revolution Offers Food for Thought

Industrial Revolution Offers Food for Thought

If you go into Industrial Revolution Eatery and Grill in Valparaiso, you are bound to see the writing on the wall in a very literal sense. Inspirational quotes are emblazoned on the inside as well as the outside of the restaurant, adding to the thought-provoking ambiance of the establishment.

I stopped by there the other day and picked out some quotes that really made me think. Some had me thinking upon the past, others had me thinking about my present, and some had me thinking about my future.

I fail. I fail a lot. But I learn from my mistakes. I feel that when I learn from my failures I don’t completely fail. Henry Ford thinks the same thing. He says basically use what you’ve learned from past mistakes to succeed the next time you try.

Jim speaks the truth here. I can either spend my time letting life pass me by, accepting the average existence that is easy to obtain, or I can make my own way and take the tough but more satisfying road to get the life that people, including myself dream about.

I, like many warm-blooded humans, experience fear. What makes us all different is the way we handle that fear. Some let it rule them, and these people never get to have the experience that are right in front of them because they are afraid to try. If a person just tried a little, it could be the first step to discovering something new and wonderful about the world, or something new and wonderful about him or herself.

Similar to what Mr. Edison was saying. We have the tools within us to build great lives and we have the resources to do some amazing things, and if we don’t have those resources we have the ability to go and obtain them.

Here’s some interesting dinner conversation for you. The next time you go to Industrial Revolution, look around and see what you can see. You will find deep words right on the surfaces of the restaurant walls. It’s some mental food for you to chew on while you chew on your delicious burger.
