Rockin’ the Taste of Rittenhouse at the Portage Chamber Midweek Mingle

The Portage Chamber of Commerce joined forces with Rittenhouse Senior Living of Portage to host and sponsor another great MidWeek Mingle. The Mingles happen once a month and offer the Chamber's members a night of networking and simple socializing.

Attendees were treated to the culinary artistry of Justin Frederick, Rittenhouse's Food Service Director. He has been with the Senior Living facility for the past two years, but has a 20-year history in the restaurant industry. His resume highlight menus of fine dining, family style, and steakhouses. He combines all those styles in hopes of serving the residents a variety of meals full of flavor - a little something for everyone. Tonight's table showcased Cajun steak bruschetta, bacon, cheddar, horseradish-stuffed mushrooms, shrimp scampi ravioli with a marinara sauce and fried calamari.

For Judy Kukelka, Director of Sales and Marketing for Rittenhouse, being able to sponsor this event allows her team to showcase their talents. According to Kukelka, the event helps in, "building relationships in the community. It really helps brand the Rittenhouse name in Portage."

And it was a party for sure. We had the venue, the menu, and the music. Joe "Neil Diamond" Zirconia of J-Squared Entertainment serenaded the crowd of about 20 guests and a handful of residents to Diamond's classics "Cherry Cherry" and "Sweet Caroline"... and of course we all sang along. (Some lucky lady even stole a few quick dance steps with "Mr. Diamond"!)

November's Mingle is scheduled for the 3rd Wednesday of month at Latitudes.
