Thank you to Nancy Simpson and the Portage Chamber for hosting the Mid-Week Mingle at Buffalo Wild Wings in Portage!
Chips and salsa, veggie appetizers, handshakes and business cards were all passed around the room at this evening of networking. In attendance were people across all disciplines sharing their talents in the industries of hospitality, education, media, finance, entertainment, business and technology, and employment opportunities.
"The Portage Chamber has several great networking opportunities, members just need put aside the time to try to attend these event," explained Nancy Simpson, Office Manager of the Portage Chamber. "All Chamber events are publicized via e-mail so if an executive is not able to make these events, it would be beneficial to add their community relations/marketing associate's e-mail to the Chamber's e-mail list. Most people like to do business with those they know and trust. These relationships are made at Chamber events. Even if you don't need a member's service, they may refer you to their friends, family and acquaintances."
Laughter, joke-telling, and connections in business were on topic tonight. And it was just a nice evening to get out of the office and chat with a group of very nice people.
