Volunteer Opportunities at Reins of Life

Reins of Life Inc. will be holding a new orientation session for class volunteers at their Michigan City facility. Reins is looking for volunteers to help assist our riders droning riding lessons. Pre-registration is preferred and volunteers must be at least 13 years old. No previous horse experience is required. We are also looking for volunteer feeders. Our horses are fed twice a day, every day. Horse experience is helpful but not required. For more info call the office at 574.232.0853.

Oragami for Everyone!
Leslie Cefali will be offering a Kid's Origami class on Friday, January 16 from 10-1, and an Adult Origami class on Saturday, January 17 from 10-4 at the Chesterton Art Center. The adult class is designed for beginners, and the children's class is meant for kids with a little origami experience. Are you looking for a fun and meaningful way to give back to your community? VNA of Porter County Meals on Wheels is looking for volunteers to deliver meals in the Chesterton area. Deliver as few or as many times per month that you'd like. Meal delivery is Monday-Friday between 11:00am and 12:30pm, and volunteers must be 18 or over with a valid driver's license.
