Join M.O.M.s in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

Join our team as we share the love and walk to help end breast cancer at the American Cancer Society's annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Valparaiso on October 19th. Everyone is welcome to join our team. We will be walking as a team as part of our Share M.O.M.s Love Initiative which is an effort to reach into our community and give back. As part of our initiative we participate in walks and runs, as well as organizing meals for new or expectant mothers or families experiencing hard times.

Join us this Sunday at Road to Life Church as we continue our October series, "Own It." Road to Life is a thriving church that meets at Chesterton High School every Sunday at 8:30,10 and 11:30 AM. A New Volunteer Training

Reins of Life Inc. will be holding a new volunteer orientation session at their Michigan City facility. Reins of Life provides therapeutic horseback riding lessons for children and adults with disabilities, serving over 500 riders through its two facilities in northwest Indiana. The organization is looking for volunteers to help assist their riders during riding lessons. Pre-registration is preferred and volunteers must be at least 13 years old. Interactive haunted dojo tours begin at 5pm and run every 15 minutes until 8:30pm join us as we travel back to the ancient days of the samurai. James O'Connor Martial Arts studio will be transformed into an ancient Japanese village as one brave samurai will go on a quest to save his village from the evil Shogun. This interactive journey will feature performances by Team O'Connor Elite performance team.

29th Annual Concert

Chorus Angelorum will perform its 29th annual concert on Friday, October 24th at 8pm at St. Mary of the Lake in Miller Beach, Gary, Indiana. The free concert will feature an organ solo by Handel, English Renaissance motets for chamber chorus, Haydn's "London" Symphony No. 99, and Haydn's Mass In Time Of War for chorus, orchestra, and soloists. Professional soloists are Rosalind Lee, Jessye Wright, Jay Morrissey, and Michael Cavalieri, conducted by Mark Kruczek.

Purdue University North Central will host a campus open house in the Library-Student-Faculty Building for prospective students of all ages and their families. The open house will begin at 4:30 p.m. with specific programming for high school students now earning Purdue credits through the Concurrent Enrollment/ Dual Credit Program who intend to enroll at PNC.
