Relay for Life Paint the Town Purple

Help the American Cancer Society "Paint the Town Purple" in support of Duneland Relay for Life. Join in the celebration by decorating your windows and businesses in purple from June 16 thru June 30. The community will have purple banners displayed and purple bows on town light poles along with Relay for Life signs posted throughout the community. Chesterton Art Center Upcoming Kid's Classes

Danielle Volkman will be teaching a Saturday children's art class from 1-2 pm for ages 8-12 at the Chesterton Art Center. This Saturday's class is called "Zentangle", a doodling technique popular right now. Next Saturday, she will be offering a Tissue Paper Mosaic class. Porter County Museum Kick Off Your Summer at Our Block Party Sunday, June 22 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

We're excited to announce the second PoCo Muse Block Party! Join friends and neighbors for a cookout on the front lawn of the Porter County Museum. In addition to food, drink, and fun, the first exhibit from the Ogden Dunes Stories Project, Life in the Hour Glass, opens to the public! Duneland Family YMCA Poppin' Popcorn Fundraiser! Now Through July 3

The Duneland Family YMCA will be selling gourmet popcorn in resealable half gallon bags. Choose from ten delicious flavors: Buttery Caramel, Cheesy Cheddar, Peanut Caramel, Cheddar Jalapeno, Chicago Style, Cinnamon Toast, Movie Theater Butter, Kettle Corn, Fruit Rainbow and White Cheddar. Proceeds from the fundraiser will generate resources for the Y's Scholarship Fund that provides Y services to those in need. Scholarships are used by families for the Y's Early Childhood Development Program, summer day camp, swimming lessons, infant childcare and membership for families who would be able to benefit from YMCA services. Chesterton High School Corporate Sponsorship Needed!

Corporate sponsorship needed for our annual Homecoming Playhouses charity event. This fall, CHS will once again auction 5 playhouses for charity on eBay at the culmination of our homecoming festivities. These playhouses are built and designed by CHS students in our building trades program. Over the past two years we have raised more than $4,000 for charity. Sponsorship is $600 to cover the cost of building materials.
