Portage Chamber of Commerce June 2014 Luncheon Features Habitat for Humanity

Portage-Chamber-Luncheon-June-2014Speaker Brian Johnson of Habitat for Humanity will speak at the June Portage Chamber of Commerce Monthly Luncheon on June 19, 2014 at Woodland Park from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Habitat for Humanity builds homes for low income families who would not normally qualify for a home mortgage. Families are selected to "Partner" with Habitat and add their sweat equity into the construction of the home. They receive a zero percent mortgage making their housing payment affordable.

Habitat for Humanity of Porter County has been building homes in Porter County for 20 years and is coming to Portage in 2016. Brian Johnson, President for Habitat in Porter County will share the details for the Habitat program and the opportunities for individuals, businesses,and churches to be involved in "giving back" to the Portage Community. There is no greater reward than working alongside the people who benefit from your volunteerism.

Take advantage of great networking opportunities. Chamber Members can take advantage of 30 seconds of fame in order to showcase your business to the luncheon participants.
