A new year-round market, the Artisan Market by Chelle's, will be starting in Chesterton on Thursday, February 6 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The event, led by Machelle Blount of Chelle's in collaboration with the Duneland Business Initiative Group, will partner local artists with downtown Chesterton businesses for a handcrafted experience.
Machelle talks about the importance of arts in the area: "Chesterton has been dubbed an art-centric town. This ongoing monthly exposure to our wonderful local artists will be greatly beneficial to Northwest Indiana and its residents."

February's event is themed "Loving Our Artists," and will feed into the upcoming Valentine's Day celebration. The full list of participating artists and businesses is currently being assembled, and will be revealed later in January. Guests and shoppers are welcome to stop into Chelle's for a detailed list the night of the event. Chelle's is located at 211 Broadway in Chesterton, IN 46304.
