Chamber to Distribute $39,800 in Grants Among 18 Facade Projects

duneland-chamberThe Façade Committee of the Chesterton/Duneland Chamber of Commerce, through funding from the Duneland Economic Development Company, is pleased to announce 18 projects have been selected for the $39,800 in façade improvement grants announced in January. Look for improvements to the following establishments: 4th Street Theater, Tilden & Tilden, Uncle Joe’s Bar & Grill, Anton Insurance, Chesterton Art Center, Duneland Resale, Darlene L. Kittredge, CPA, Third Coast Spice Café, Bell Manor, Great Lakes Reality, Duneland Montessori Academy, Stephanie Swanson Jewelry by Design, Martin Cabinetry, Pat’s Liquor, Good to Go by Lucrezia, Champion Home Accessories, Absolutely Dry, Upper Deck, and Saylor Basket Place. Each of the Duneland Communities that requested money was awarded at least one project.

“We were so pleased with the improvements that occurred in the 2010 grant cycle. This year we have awarded over 39,000 dollars. It should be fun to watch the difference those funds can make in our community”- Heather Ennis President of the DEDC.
