The question asked most frequently after the holiday is “what did you get for Christmas”. One of our chamber members rather is asked “what did you give for Christmas”. Cliff Roman, the owner of Dres Well Cleaners has found a way to put a smile on the face of hundreds of men, women, and children in Portage every Christmas.
Working with Willowcreek Middle School, the two parties hold a coat drive every November. Dres Well Cleaners then takes all of the coats and at no cost to anyone but Dres Well Cleaners, every coat is cleaned at their facility before being given to a most appreciative individual.
When visiting with Cliff about the generosity of his business, he quickly stated that all the credit should go to Noemi Byrd who comes in on her own time to make hundreds of individuals’ holidays a lot nicer and a lot warmer.
If everyone was like Dres Well Cleaners, maybe the question asked most often net year just might be “what did you give for Christmas”.
