Both sectors are managed by women with Shaver running the Service Department and Goodwin running the Parts Department. These ladies run a tight ship and love every aspect of it, from the job itself, to their team, to the company they work for.
They always want to ensure their customers get the best service possible.
“We try to only sell GM parts and our team takes GM training and certification courses,” Goodwin said. “This ensures the best service and product.”
The Team Chevy culture that surrounds them as well as the strong team atmosphere are helpful in the success of the Service Department.
“We really do like each other,” Shaver said, laughing. “We work really well together with no separation between service and sales, just an entire team.”
It is not just the management but also the technicians within the service group that are committed to Team Chevy and ensuring good work.
“This team is really motivated and committed to hitting our monthly goals,” Shaver said. “They work hard, sometimes late or without taking a break to get the job done…The more you do, the more you make, even in service so it works well.”
Each day is very different in the world of servicing vehicles. Team Chevy’s Service Department opens at 7:30am and runs all day. These days can be long and stressful with cars arriving right as the doors open all the way to closing time. Nevertheless, they all love the workflow and the job. With the entire team striving to get through as many vehicles as possible and fix them correctly every time, hard work and motivation is a must.
“Some days you have a nice easy flow of customers and sometimes they all come at once," Mary laughed. “This team is awesome at working together to make it happen.”
