Portage_High_School_Graphics_Students_Ga-1Portage High School’s Career and Technical Education-Graphic Imaging Technology (GIT) class proudly displays recently produced “Kids Caring for the Community” participant signs. This is a collaborative effort between PHS and the Indiana/Kentucky/Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters (IKORCC) that allows GIT students to gain valuable hands-on experience producing signs and banners for this program.

About Kids Caring for the Community:,
All public elementary schools in Lake, LaPorte and Porter County can participate. By participating in a variety of community service projects, schools are entered into a drawing to win $750 for their school. There will be two winners from Porter County, LaPorte and Lake County after each 2-month session. Schools that participate all year will be put in an additional drawing for $1,000.
